The legendary cat is coming to town in adorable UT t-shirts designed by 10 artists.
The Japanese feline weighing as light as an apple is obviously not your normal cat; it appears on your stationery, luggages, and all other cutesy things since 1974. This time around, Hello Kitty will appear on Uniqlo’s signature UT t-shirt line for both good and fashionable causes.
10 Japanese artists are collaborating with Uniqlo to come up with original designs for the t-shirts. The project marks Uniqlo’s charity initiative – for a portion of the UT Hello Kitty t-shirts proceeds will go to Hellosmile, a global campaign to raise awareness on cervical cancer. This project, which claims Hello Kitty as its mascot, donates to the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
The UT Hello Kitty collection will be available in Malaysia in mid-April.
