Venusbuzz Christmas Surprise For You!

We compiled eye-candy models from Abercrombie & Fitch Singapore for your eyes only!

Giggles and gasps has been filling Knightsbridge, Singapore all week long prior to Abercrombie & Fitch Singapore outlet opening today, 15 December 2011, at 10am. The Singapore marks the brand’s Southeast Asian debut. And a buzz worthy debut that is, with 40 shirtless models greets you in front of the shop!

The American fashion retailer calls as many as 40 models across the globe to act as greeter prior to the launch. Local audition was held too in quest of finding Singaporean 6-packers. The hunky greeters pose and take pictures with the passersby from 1-7pm daily. The good-looking models are game for anything- from lifting you up to holding your baby! Today at the official launch, 2 greeters will stay outside while the rest serve customers at the 21,000sq ft. outlet.

Shirtless models have been an Abercrombie & Fitch’s signature, they appear in the print ads, campaigns, as well as worldwide store opening. Since Milan flagship store in 2009, every opening is hyped up with hunks with nothing but low-rise jeans or in the Singaporean case, red track pants. Whether or not this tactic will be successful in Southeast Asia remains a question. They have created huge media buzz – although recently criticized by Singaporean Advertisers Association (SAA) for being ‘too racy’. Abercrombie & Fitch itself boasts their all-American signature apparels; casual and sporty. Some raise eyebrows for human objectification aspect of this campaign, while others are simply amused. What say you?
