KL’s fashion big names, celebrities and media rub shoulders in one stylish night at H&M Malaysia, Lot 10
Imagine a room loaded with people, mostly dressed to their hearts’ content, surrounded by hip tunes and tons of high-street clothes. No less than 3,000 people were present at the highly-anticipated H&M Exclusive Media Preview earlier tonight – including big names like Yuna and Dato’ Sheila Majid. Read our full report on the exciting night, here.
Minimalistic, grunge, dandy and glamorous are only some of the jaw-dropping styles represented at the preview, and VenusBuzz.com were there to stalk the best styles. Here, we present you the fruits of our stylish cause.
Sueann Chong, 31, editor of Hanger Magazine
A familiar name in the fashion industry – Sueann keeps it low key with the all-black ensemble and lets her chic braided up-do and signature blonde streak do all the talking.
Davina Goh, 29, full-time awesome person
The always bubbly and lovely down-to-earth Davina jazzes up her otherwise basic outfit with a tribal-esque statement necklace from Kuching in neon shades; the instant trick to look fab whilst staying weather-appropriate!
Aby Huraira, 37, graphic designer
Guys, take note! This is how you pull off a denim on denim combo – break it off with a basic white tee and add on a pair of basic oxford shoes. Aby knows the best accessory for any outfit – a killer ‘stache!
Shakila Rajendra, editor
For those of you who have been wanting to don studs but fear of looking overly trendy – try Shakila’s way of keeping studs as details and not the centre piece. A subtly brilliant getup.
Dina Ramli, 28, education consultant & Shamaine Othman, 29, actor
This effortless duo ace casual dresses without looking overly girly. The key is to find a rather basic structure and focus on novelty patterns and colours to lend that edge to your overall look. Flower prints and neon colours are hot, hot, hot!
Miranda Yeoh, 27, fashion editor
Another brilliant trick to set your black-on-black ensemble apart from the crowd: focus on details. Be it see-through accents or intricate detailing, find something beyond the normal black t-shirt to act as wardroble staples. Kick-butt tattoos optional.
Grace Wong, 23, editorial assistant of Tongue in Chic
We’re green with envy – juxtapositioning best describes fashion writer Grace Wong. Matching a snuggly boyfriend tee with glamorous sequin leggings and green hair is not a sin. Even if it is – it must be a beautiful one. Playing dress up, after all, is about being fearless.
Jay Kim, 30, student from Korea
Korean student Jay Kim looks like she just stepped out of a Girls Generation music video! Match your army-inspired getup with soft hues whilst accessorising and you will get a surprisingly pleasant twist of an army-inspired getup. Hello, Sailor!
