Goh Ying Ying was called to identify the body at Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital, and made the confirmation based on the shorts and underwear worn by the deceased, which was what her son was said to have been seen wearing last. The body also had the same scars on the head as that of William’s.

However, due to the severely decomposed state of the body found, police are waiting for the DNA results before concluding the matter. At the moment, it is 80% confirmed that the body found is William.

It was reported that he went missing on January 16 after his parents left him and his siblings in the car to purchase a washing machine at Putra Heights. He went missing after looking for his parents, as his younger sister started crying in the car.

Until the DNA results have been published, our thoughts go out to William’s family and loved ones.
