Congratulations to Jessica Amornkuldilok of Thailand for winning the title of Asia’s First Next Top Model!
The 26-year old Thai university student beat 13 other contestants from Malaysia, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Singapore to win the title. They competed in 12 different model challenges and photo-shoots featured across 13 episodes.
Jessica, who is of Thai and German parentage, won an opportunity of a lifetime and walked away with a $100,000 cash prize, an opportunity to be the face of Canon IXUS 2013 campaign, a cover feature with Harper’s Bazaar magazine, a Subaru XV, as well as a modeling contract with Storm Model Management in UK and Europe.
In an interview with My Paper, Jessica said that she kept her profile low on the show and chose to focus on positive thinking to avoid problems.
“I told myself if I didn’t win, I would move on and still go far,” said Jessica when asked about how she felt during the finale.
Not only is Jessica beautiful on the outside, but the chiseled, pixie-haired model also places high importance on education and paying it forward.
“I’ll go to London for work (that’s part of the prize) and then finish my studies at Bangkok University. With the $100,000 prize money, I intend to donate some to a charity for children,” she added.
“When I was growing up, some of my friends were smart but couldn’t afford to go further in their studies. I want to give others a chance to study.”
We wish Jessica all the best of luck and hope to see some amazing work from her in the future! Follow Jessica on Twitter and her official Facebook page for more updates on her new journey as Asia’s Next Top Model!
