For 8,000 people, last Saturday and Sunday proved to be a weekend like no other as they took part in the unique inaugural challenge that pushed contestants to their physical and endurance limits as they went up against 20 man-made obstacles set over a 20km course.
Viper Challenge is Asia’s largest ever obstacle course event which was held at the Sepang International Circuit last weekend on August 17 and 18. Participants left awash in personal satisfaction and the fastest time clocked to complete the course was an impressive two hours, while most contestants took four to five hours to accomplish the arena.
The presence of alternating hot sun and heavy rain over the span of two days was another hurdle that the participants had to endure, making it not just a physical challenge – but one of mental and willpower as well.
The Viper Challenge attracted a great number of participants from Malaysia and around Asia, and was a dream come true for many participants.
Our very own Lina Teoh, documentary film maker and actress even took part and completed the race with impressive timing – proving that women are just as tough (if not fitter) as most of the men who took part.
She tweeted, “Viper done! 20km obstacle course in 2hrs52mins just 8 months after my son was born! Very happy wth that Great fun!”
Congratulations Lina, you’re a real inspiration!
