Who is this ‘George Young’?
Born on 29th February 1980 in London, England to Malaysian Chinese father and Greek Cypriot mother, George Young (Chinese: 吴宇衛) is a Eurasian Chinese-Greek actor, presenter and writer.
Although his entertainment career started off in 2008 when he appeared in Casualty (a BBC TV series filmed in England), it is said that his first feature role was in the 2010 Bollywood film Jhootha Hi Sahi.
In the year of 2011, George hosted Million Dollar Money Drop: Singapore Edition that premiered on Singapore’s National Day; George Young started to trend worldwide on social media networks (e.g. Twitter) shortly after the show first aired. The rest, as they say, was history.

Currently managed by the Singapore-based Fly Entertainment, George Young is a familiar face on TV. Some of the shows that he has starred in are as Yours Fatefully 孤男寡女 (2012), artBITES (2011, 2012), The Pupil (Season 1 and 2) and Get Social (2013).

3. He Is A Philanthropist!
George Young is always one for a good cause. In fact, the dashing man is well know for his heavy involvement with Kiehl’s to raise funds and awareness in support of children from The Autism Association (Singapore).
“People with autism are just that – people first and foremost, with a condition that is autism…they have hobbies, they have loves, they have passions, but all of it is locked within this condition that is autism. There’s no cure for autism at the moment, but with treatments at an early age, their thought potential can be unlocked,” shares the actor.
George further shares that this cause is something he feels strongly for and is a matter close to his heart as his two younger brothers, Paul and Andrew are both autistic.
2. He Has A Great Sense Of Humour!
Although we might not personally know or hung out with George Young (yet), we’re pretty sure that this man is not one who’s lacking in the humour, jokes and fun department! Take for instance, Exhibit A:

1. He Has A Gift Of High Intellect!
Before George Young realized and pursued his dream and love for acting, he took up a law degree at the University of Westminster and The College of Law. In fact, he completed his solicitor traineeship in the City of London law firm and is actually a fully qualified solicitor for the Supreme Court of England and Wales!
In addition to all that, he was educated at Winchester College, studied acting in New York and received a degree in Psychology from the University of Southampton.
Yup ladies – good looks, talent, a kind heart and wonderfully smart; there is truly no end to this man!
