Peony and Blush Suede by Jo Malone
Known for their endless layering potentials, fragrances by Jo Malone are often fresh, charming and with a beautiful lingering power; which is everything their newly launched Peony and Blush Suede is. Opening with an airy and clean note, the perfume carries hints of orange blossom peonies and apples. As it sets, a light and powdery musk from the suede notes emits – making the overall perfume a delight for lovers of warm and feminine floral scents.
Peony and Blush Suede by Jo Malone is priced at RM225 for the 30ml bottle and RM450 for the 100ml bottle. Other variations include their Body and Hand Wash (RM200 for 250ml), Body Cremè (RM300 for 175ml) and Home Candle (RM270 for 200g).
Si by Giorgio Armani
A scent made for strong women, Si by Giorgio Armani is a perfume with top notes of Sicilian Bergamot, Mandarin Oil; middle notes of Jasmine and Rose; and a base note of Patchouli and Vanilla. The outcome is a floral woody musk scent that’s heavy but not in an overpowering manner. The fragrance had a hint of sweetness from its Vanilla notes, lasts fairly long and eluded a sexy and sensual vibe; truly an irresistible combination of grace and strength.
Si by Giorgio Armani is priced at RM220 (for the 30ml bottle) and above.
Honey by Marc Jacobs
Just out a few months ago, Honey by Marc Jacobs is a sweet floral-smelling scent with:
- Top notes – pear, Fruity Punch and Juicy Mandarin
- Heart notes – Orange Blossom, Peach Nectar and Honeysuckle
- Base notes – Honey, Golden Vanilla, Smooth Woods
Personally owning a miniature myself, it is safe to say that the floral scent was balanced out nicely by the honey; making this a perfume that’s suitable for both day and night! As with its other siblings, the perfume comes in a well-designed bottle with a bee-like butterfly hybrid embellish. The yellow-themed bottle with polka dots just seals the deal for this cutesy design!
Honey by Marc Jacobs is priced at RM228 for 30ml, RM290 for 50ml and RM360 for 100ml.
George Town by Josh Lee
Inspired by the listing of George Town in Penang as a UNESCO World Heritage site, proud Penangite Josh Lee has gone where no perfumer has gone before – he created the world’s first heritage city fragrance.
As per the town that it is inspired by, the fragrance is aptly named George Town and is formulated for both women and men. Coming in a minimalistic bottle, the blue colour fragrance oil carries a citrus scent from its green tea, nutmeg and bergamot notes; a scent that’ll make you feel like you’ve just been teleported into a classy hotel in the quaint George Town. Truthfully speaking, we find this perfume a great souvenir idea for travellers.
