As I was browsing for the right videos to feature – I stumbled upon this Facebook status of a good friend. Then I thought, we tell the world of our love to dogs, but there are times we belittle them as ‘just pets’.

This post was initially triggered by Uggie the Jack Russell Terrier who starred ‘The Artist’, the movie that won the Golden Globes and is said to bag the Oscars as well. Uggie went up on stage and stunned many with his tricks – including playing dead. As flamboyant as Gladstone the pug in the recent Sherlock Holmes flick. Uggie is not a first-timer, he previously touched many through Water for Elephants.

Dogs in movies certainly add an irreplaceable flavour – think Hachiko and Marley & Me. Magazine Dog News Daily even created Golden Collar Awards to appreciate dogs cum movie stars -  where Uggie will go up against Cosmo (Beginners) and Arthur (50/50) among others. On Youtube, Boo is one of the dog stars whose videos are watched by millions.
