If you are a fan of the original work of Alex Goot, Kina Grannis, Lana del Rey, or AJ Rafael who recently dropped by Malaysia – then Youtube is on your side! Over years, unique original contents have defined Youtube as a part of everyday lives. Google has invested an extra US$ 100millions on Youtube to produce new, exciting, and high-profile entertainment clips to air starting this year. This step is to ensure that people think Youtube when they think online visual entertainment.
There will be something for everyone – fashion, news, sports, celebrity news, the list goes on. Jay-Z, Madonna, Ashton Kutcher, and Amy Poehler are among the big names on Youtube team in this new and exciting project. There will also be high-profile content producers including Wall Street Journal and media companies Seedwell.
In May 2010, Youtube had more than 2 billion views a day, with its amateur video sensations ranging from independent musicians to animal funny videos. However, so often people discover new videos through other social media.
“You’re more likely to watch a YouTube video through a link or embed on Facebook, Tumblr, or a blog. YouTube has struggled with an age-old question—How to become an entertainment destination?”
To answer this bugging question, Youtube is coming with 25-hour worth of short clips per day to guarantee people are sticking to the channel.
Indie kids can jump off their seats now that Pitchfork TV is coming up to Youtube. If you are the dark humour type, you have The Onion to keep you chuckling all day long.
