Men vs Women: what he says and what he really means

I can’t deny the fact that we women often say things we don’t mean, especially towards our significant other, to whom we depend on for much love, patience and pampering. For reasons unknown, I would say it is a natural riposte for us ladies to sometimes give an answer which is the total opposite of what our heart says. Perhaps, we expect the boys to read our minds or we simply just want them to feed us with more attention.

Nonetheless, who knew men also have their moments. We are not alone, let’s take a look at these lines men would say but may have other meaning to it. Unlike men, we tend to take every word they say into heart, hence creating conflicts among one another because we are somewhat disappointed with their actions. Therefore, here are some insights we have gathered just for you so you’ll know better the next time.

MEN

1. I’ll call you later.

When men say that, they do not literally mean it. It simply means I’ll call you when I remember or when there’s something I need. Don’t be expecting them to return your call within the next 24 hours or apply your definition of ‘later’ because it’s only going to get you disappointed.

2. You look really hot today.

This simply means : ” I would really like to have sex with you. “

3. Can we talk about this later?

He just doesn’t want to talk about it. Not now, not later, not ever.

4. What are you wearing?!

You look really ugly in that! I just don’t know how to say it without you being mad at me.

5. What are you talking about?

He knows exactly what you’re talking about. It is either he’s trying to avoid trouble or he’s giving himself sometime to make up some excuses.

6. Why don’t you take a night out with your girlfriends?

He needs a break from you, get out!

7. That girl’s actually really pretty. 

I don’t know how to say this, darling, but I think you should up your game and strive to be prettier just like her.

8. I like her style, but not her face. 

I really want you to dress like her.

*8. I miss you.

Okay, he really does miss you. Rest assured that you can take this seriously.

WOMEN

1. Do I look fat?

Say yes and all hell will break loose! The only reason why I asked is because I want you to remind me how beautiful I am.

2. You decide/Whatever you want.

I’m sick of you being so insensitive with my wants and my needs. Why don’t you know what I want by now already?

3. No I’m not mad.

I’m burning inside! One more word from you and I’ll fire!

4. I need to talk to you.

I am about to break up with you. It’s your last chance to do something if you want to save the relationship.

5. Yes/No/ Maybe. 

NO.

6. Its just the time of the month.

I’m just not in the mood to talk to you or do anything with you.

7. Nothing’s wrong.
