Strolling along the haircare aisle at Watsons, this product caught my eye because of its packaging- pink, shimmery and the cover resembled a crown. So girly and princessy! How could I not stop to look? Upon inspection, the “cocktail” in the bottle is made up of 2 layers, the top is a Moisture Milk that nourishes and smoothens each strand of hair, and the bottom is a Repairing Water that absorbs into hair instantly and hydrates from inside out. When shaken and sprayed, they work together to detangle and nourish hair.
A little history on my hair condition- over the years I have bleached and dyed it multiple times, not to mention I have very long hair. So, to say that my ends are dry and damaged is really an understatement. I have to use a hair mask daily, else my ends gets tangled easily and will poof up due to the dryness.
I was curious to see how this hair mist would perform as I have come across many hair mists which promised much but in the end did nothing for my ends. After air-drying my hair, I shook the bottle and sprayed directly on my hair ends. The Smooth Hair Cocktail has a soft fruity scent, I liked it as it wasn’t overpowering nor sickly sweet. The spray nozzle dispenses a fine mist, which settles on hair evenly but what’s important is it really detangled my hair and left it soft and smooth. I could easily run my fingers and comb through my hair. It definitely made a difference to my hair texture. It did not weigh my hair down and it was still soft by the end of the day. Overall, this is an effective and really easy-to-use product. Brownie points for looking pretty on my dresser! I would definitely repurchase this hair mist.
