25 albums and a few major movies later, he still is a hot, humble, and talented stuff!
Who is this Wang?
Wang Lee Hom is an American born of Chinese descendants who is based in Taiwan. In the age of 35, he is a singer/songwriter, actor, record producer, and also movie director. He is definitely not the new kid on the block, seeing his career history dated as old as 1995. His big debut came in 1998 through an award winning ‘Revolution’ music album. It could be luck that his shining star is still right on top of him all these while. But no one could deny his unique selling point – fusion music genre that marries Chinese traditional music (opera being one) and modern tunes like hip-hop and R&B. He coined the musical genre ‘chinked-out’.
His proudest moments as an actor include Ang Lee’s Lust and Jackie Chan’s Little Big Soldier. In music, he is a four-time Golden Melody Awards, the most prestigious music awards night in Taiwan.
