Artificially bronze skin from tanning bed is making its way to the trash – for good health reasons
Tanning bed is now banned in states of US and also UK, for it could significantly heighten skin cancer dangers. This January 1, California has officially made tanning bed illegal for children. Idaho is on its way to do just the same.
The fashion world shows its concern too, with UK modeling agency saying no to tanning beds for runway models walking the London Fashion Week this year.
International Agency for Research on Cancer lists tanning bed as one of the most dangerous cancer-causing substances.

Melanoma (a form of malignant tumor) is the most common form of cancer in women aged 25-29. Tanning bed is to be blamed for being the primary cause of melanoma. The UV rays used in tanning bed could damage DNA, and over time the damage might lead to melanoma. In short, tanning bed means lying under the crazy sun on the beach without any sunscreen protection.
While the average of Asians desire for fair flawless skin, cosmopolitan women in China have caught the tan craze since 2006. For those who require a tan, it is advisable to use spray tan that provides the same instant result, and could last up to a week.
