Group of giggling boys and girls, running about delighting in their very own world that is KidZania. Now, they’ll have even more excitement with the introduction of the new establishments.
KidZania is the word on every child and parents’ lips these days. The hype is as strong as ever since its opening early this year when we were invited for an initial tour of the place. It’s so popular that KidZania proves to be the ultimate go-to spot for family weekend outing and who can resist paying a visit? Even the “kidult” in me was intrigued, ok more like overly excited.
For those who aren’t familiar, KidZania is an activity-based theme park. If you’re looking for a leisurely stroll with your little ones, this is not it. But if you’re looking to let your children go wild for a few hours and learn valuable life lessons in the process, this is the right place to be.
While they may not have any of the usual theme park staples in the premise like rides and arcade games, your child will be able to engage in role-playing activities with a great opportunity to experience different occupations. Think surgeon, pilot, firefighter, lawyer, contractor, painter, DJ, reporter and much more.
Children and perhaps, parents as well can look forward to the seven latest attractions available at KidZania. These are the Sushi King Sushi Bar, SeaMaster Bottling Plant, Oreo Cookie Factory, Z-Mart supermarket, Allianz Insurance Company, the Secret Agent and the Air Conditioning System establishments.
With the addition to the food and beverage industry within KidZania, children can learn about hygienic food preparation and the processes that go into preparing the food items. While at outlets like the supermarket and insurance company, children can choose to lend their expertise in their ‘jobs’ or be a customer.
And if they are looking for something along the lines of Mission Impossible or Bond, whichever tickles your fancy, there is the opportunity to be accredited as a KidZania Secret Agent. Of course, he or she must undergo physical test to prove their mettle. Not for the faint-hearted!
For those into cars, a new activity is offered at the existing Honda Showroom. Kids can learn the features of the Honda Insight Hybrid and be a car designer for a day! They can design their own car model using sophisticated software before painting a mini car model based on their very own creation, which they will then get to keep.
That is not all, it was announced at the media session that Schwan-STABILO Arts and Craft Studio as well as the Cadbury Chocolate Factory will be the other two new establishments to join KidZania in the coming months. Kids can look forward to putting their creative juices to the test, be it to make unique handicrafts or learn the art of making their favourite chocolate.
KidZania is definitely a world of its own with everything built to kid-sized proportion. It was a sight to behold seeing the little ones enjoying themselves in the various activities which makes us, adults want to unleash our inner child.
