Are you a triple threat? Can you act, dance and sing your way to the big screen?
More importantly, are you a fan of 80s cartoon TV series Jem & The Holograms? If you’ve answered yes to all of the above – why not take a gander at this open call casting to submit your online auditions for the up and coming movie!
Film director Jon M. Chu (G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Step Up 2: The Streets), producer Jason Blum (Paranormal Activity), and talent manager Scooter Braun (Justin Bieber) are asking you – yes you, behind the computer screen, to submit a short 2-minute video audition on Youtube using the hashtag #JemTheMovie
“We want to invite you into our process, and help us make our next movie. Write music, design costumes, to even casting..we want you to be part of the creative team,” says Jon.
“It’s sort of like Kickstarter – but instead of asking for money, we’re asking for your creativity.”
Described as a ‘modern-day, live action reinvention of the 1980s Hasbro cartoon’, the project is looking for anyone of any age or gender to fill up spots for the film. To be a movie star, all you’ll need to do is:
