The highly anticipated annual Tulipmania display returns to Singapore at the Gardens By The Bay next week.
If you love tulips and you can’t make it to The Netherlands to see those beautiful flowers this Spring, you really ought to make a trip to Singapore to see this. Tulipmania is a slice of Keukenhof, Holland right here in Asia. Even the temperature is set to a cooler climate to accommodate these gorgeous flowers as the display will be in the Cooled Conservatories, giving you a feeling that you could almost be in Holland!
This is the third edition after having two previous successful displays. This year, visitors will be treated to an even wider selection of tulips at Tulipmania with over over 40 varieties in a myriad of hues and forms, in 25,000 brilliant bulbs of tulips.
The theme this year is inspired by fairy tales, with colourful displays depicting classics such as the infamous gingerbread house from Hansel and Gretel, Rapunzel’s tower, Cinderella’s carriage and The Ugly Duckling. There’s even a tulip named “Singapore” at Tulipmania this year!
Tulipmania starts from the 20th of March till the 10th of May 2015 at the Flower Dome, Gardens By The Bay. It opens daily from 9:00am till 9:00pm. With the school holidays coming up next week, it’s perfect timing to sneak in a quick trip to visit this unique flower display. Tickets can be purchased online here.
