Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA To Open 30th May!

Travelers traveling through the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) will now be able to do a lot more in between flights with the opening of the Mitsui Outlet Park!

The brand new Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA Sepang (Japan’s beloved luxury goods outlet mall) will open on the 30th of May 2015. It’s located 6km from KLIA and directly accessible from the highway, making it easy to get to.

The outlet will be a whopping 24,000 square meters of space on their first phase of development and it’ll feature a host of offerings. Shoppers will be spoilt for choice with the lots of brands available. From luxury branded products to high street fashion apparel and accessories, all things to do with makeup and beauty, a section for kids, sportswear, household items and more.

Amongst the brands available are:

  • Polo Ralph Lauren Factory Outlet
  • Ermenegildo Zegna
  • Club 21 Collectibles (of which has Paul Smith, Balenciaga, Lanvin, etc.)
  • Aigner
  • Hugo Boss
  • Karen Millen
  • Topshop
  • Topman
  • Miss Selfridge
  • Dorothy Perkins
  • SACOOR Outlet
  • Timberland
  • Clarks

  • Isetan Outlet Store
  • ACE

It’s a factory outlet mall with lots of brands offering attractive savings ranging from 30% to 70% throughout the year. With it being the very first kind in Malaysia, it’s slated to be busy and it’ll very likely be heavily patronised by tourists.

The mall will have four concepts: the Sunshine Square, the Pier Walk, the Tropical Plaza and the Beach Walk (a simulation of the beach, which we’re curiously waiting to check out!).

The Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA Sepang is a joint venture (JV) between Mitsui Fudosan Co. Ltd and Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB). The outlet will be managed by the JV company, MFMA Development Sdn Bhd (MFMA).

The plan is to have the facility completed gradually and they aim to open 130 stores at the outlet park by the end of July this year. There are other plans for expansion, with Phase 2 in 2018 and again, with another phase in 2021. They aim to be the largest outlet mall in Southeast Asia with about 250 stores.

For travelers who need to keep an eye out for their flight information, the mall will have a flight information display system. There will also be flight SITA check-in kiosk services as well as a free baggage storage service.
