A digital project entitled “Ballerina Shoe” has been launched by Salvatore Ferragamo. If you’re a ballerina shoe fan or even a fan of the iconic Audrey Hepburn, don’t miss this collection!
It’s a collection dedicated to the famous design often worn by Audrey Hepburn. This collection brings a modern twist to one of its most iconic designs: the famous round-toed suede ballerina shoes, which Ferragamo created for Audrey Hepburn in 1954.
The theme of #unspokenelegance is shown throughout this collection. The shoes exude femininity and it’s perfect for everyday elegance. It also features one of Salvatore’s key patents, the special Opanca sole inspired by the Opanke, the moccasins worn by Native Americans: in these shoes the sole covers the heel and forms a single piece with the upper. With sinuous lines following the curve of the foot, the structure makes for a surprisingly flexible walk.
Comfort is boosted further by the prestigious slip-lasted design, an example of outstanding craftsmanship, and details such as the adjustable elasticated strap on the upper. Another unique reflection of the brand’s excellence in craftsmanship and the ability to combine its heritage with modern style.

Ferragamo has always been known for exquisite shoes in the fashion world. The shoes are not only timeless in style and suitable for almost any occasion, but they are also comfortable to wear. Not an easy feat to achieve when it comes to fashion, as any fashionista would know.
For Spring/Summer 2015, Ferragamo combines comfort and style with the Ballerina Shoe. It comes in a variety of textures: from the glossy chic of patent leather and the modern sophistication of laser-cut lace effect Nappa to the summery élan of striped fabric and the soft consistency of suede with denim-effect. The ever-classic shades of Ferragamo Red and Oxford Blue are also present in this series, as are the seasonal hues of Macaron, New Iris and New Optic White.

TUMI celebrates its 40th anniversary with a new collection entitled The 1975 Collection.
Founded in 1975, TUMI celebrated 40 years of perfecting the journey through design excellence and outstanding product innovation. To mark this special 40th anniversary, TUMI unveiled an exclusive, limited edition collection aptly titled ‘1975’ based on the year it was first launched.
The 1975 Collection exudes excellence with details of meticulous craftsmanship and technical innovation being displayed throughout their collection. TUMI is renowned for its functional superiority and this particular collection pays homage to the brand’s heritage and original design.
The brand was first founded by Charlie Clifford 40 years ago. TUMI started life as an importer of leather goods from South America to the United States. However, Charlie envisioned that the brand could go the distance with travel by revolutionizing travel with the introduction of stylish, functional and durable bags and accessories, making traveling fun, more enjoyable and fashionable.
Each piece of the 1975 collection is crafted from natural, full grain cowhide leather similar to the variety TUMI originally imported. TUMI’s signature ballistic nylon is also incorporated into the collection. This iconic material put TUMI firmly on the map in 1983 as the first brand to pioneer the use of military-grade ballistic nylon in its travel bags. The brand now holds over 325 design and utility patents and continues to innovate each and every season.
The 11-piece 1975 collection includes an International Carry-On, Slim Brief, Rucksack Backpack, and Square Duffel. Each style bears a special, limited edition embossed number.

It will also question what kinds of new challenges and opportunities will arise in that period, as well as what ways of thinking will be obsolete and what are the kind of solutions that are needed in the midst of social and technological change. More importantly, how does one adapt to the problems of the future.
These are the esteemed presenters that will be examining the Malaysian social sector and what it will be in twenty years from now:

Is it Raya already? Well, not quite but when it comes to fashion, it’s never too early to get ahead and ZALORA has done just that.
ZALORA has unveiled its first set of Hari Raya collaborations with Malaysia’s most talked about and emerging fashion designers Nurita Harith, FIZIWOO, Syaiful Baharim, and Zery Zamry. If you’ve not heard of these designers before, let us tell you that this group is very talented and has come up with a fantastic collection for Raya this year.
The styles are edgy, modern with a fashionable twist. The pieces are interesting and have contrast in not just color but in texture and structure as well. More importantly, the pieces from these designers are wearable, which to us is key when it comes to fashion.
Each designer has their own inspiration for their designs and each of them has come up with some fabulous pieces. The variety of styles in “Raya In The City” by FIZIWOO for example, is the perfect wardrobe addition for urbanites.
Peplum, ruffles, scallops, and fabric manipulation techniques are just a few examples of the exquisite details in the collection. Great items to add to any fashionista’s wardrobe!
Nurita Harith collaborates with renowned contemporary illustrator and abstract artist D.U.R.A. and came up with “Flow by NH by Nurita Harith“. Together they worked to present a one of a kind, limited edition collection that truly embodies the idea of Art Meets Fashion. The collection examines movement and artistic fluidity, proposing a languid approach to silhouettes by creating instant elegance and silent glamour. Perfect for someone wanting something artistic yet elegant with a touch of modernity.
“Tribal Glam” by Syaiful Baharim is the designer’s first collaboration with ZALORA. The designer’s inspiration comes from the uniqueness of a tribal print which was discovered during his many kinds of research. The collection consists of traditional favorites such as kaftans, one-piece dresses, two-piece modern kurung and “Kedah” kurungs, as shown in the photo above.
For his first collection with ZALORA, “Hipster” by Zery Zamry aims to link tradition with modern-day by offering stylish men all over Malaysia and Brunei a new range of updated traditional attire with a modern twist. Modernization of traditional wear is evident in many ways in this collection. The traditional collar styles “Teluk Belanga” and “Cekak Musang” are given a fresh take by excluding the “pesak”.
The various collections are out now on ZALORA’s website.

H&M fans, you’ll be glad to know that the summer looks are finally out!!
It screams summer at H&M this coming summer season. The new summer looks are a little different. They’re not just typically full of color. Yes, color is present as it always is for the summer but one thing special about the summer looks this time around is that there are lots of blacks, greys, and whites.
Black, grey & white are a fashion for go-to for most of us and it’s refreshing to see it being dominant in a summer collection for a change. These colors are great because it’s a continuous staple in anyone’s closet. What’s even better is that they’re not “stuffy” but flowy, easy to wear looks.
For women, the silhouette is voluminous and fluid with draping on some key pieces. The cool edgy floral prints on the jumpsuit and dress are inspired by kimonos. The overall style is relaxed, sophisticated and effortlessly chic.
Men are not left out this season either. For men, this summer, it’s all about minimalism and sports influences. Colors are light in salute to summer, with the use of airy lightweight fabrics. Key pieces include the goat suede biker jacket, the summer blazer in white and the cropped trousers.
The collection will be available at H&M Lot 10 from the end of April 2015 onwards.
